We went to a friend’s house Saturday evening to have dinner. The pre-dinner activity was a water gun fight in which everybody got soaked. Then we lit up the tiki torches just before dinner was served. What a great time we had.
Nate and the Tiki Torches
On Sunday, we went to my grandmother’s to have dinner. We brought some of Nate’s puzzles for her to work on during the day to help keep her mind sharp. After dinner, Nate wanted to show off his puzzle prowess by putting three jigsaws together in a few short minutes. I’m really thankful for each and every time we’re able to spend with the extended family.

Today’s 365 photo is of the Kick-Ass Cubeecraft character that I assembled this evening.
Kick-Ass
Ever since my friend, Jill, told me about this Kick-Ass movie, I’ve been looking forward to seeing it. It looks like my kind of nerdy fun. McLovin is in it too so you know it’s gonna be good. Here is the trailer.
I had to go to Indian Wells for a conference from Sunday through Wednesday. Tuesday was my 8-year wedding anniversary. The nice part was that my wife drove out with my son a couple times so I was able to hang out with them for a bit. But between work and hanging out with the family, I didn’t have a whole lot of time to devote to taking any photographs. But when you have a phone with a camera there is really no good excuse for not taking more photographs. I was being lazy.
Anyways, here is what I took with my phone between Sunday and Wednesday.

There is a website called, CubeeCraft (it seems to be down at the moment – at least for me), where you can download some images, print them at home, then cut and assemble them to make some cool little characters. There are probably hundreds of different characters to choose from, but I let Nate pick his favorites and he picked the following.
